For the first time in its five-year history, the Canadian Videogame Awards, or CVAs, are heading to the other side of this great nation as Toronto plays host to the show.
On November 21st, the CVAs will descend upon The Carlu, bringing with it a ton of development studios and industry giants that all call Canada home.
Canada is the third largest developer of video games on the planet, and we deserve our own show to recognize the hard working and insanely talented people who do so much for it.
Since the show has been delayed from its usual April presentation, this year’s event will highlight games from both 2013 and 2014 production years, awarded separately in one ceremony.
We’ll be at the show basking in the video game glory, as awards are handed out throughout the evening. If you want to get tickets to the show, they’re only $29 and available online right now.
You can also volunteer to work at the event, you can do so on the Canadian Videogame Awards website. The deadline for volunteer applications closes October 31st.
Check out the nominees for 2013 and 2014 below. The Canadian Videogame Awards are live on November 21st at 8:00 p.m. EST.
