The first next-gen Call of Duty game to hit consoles won’t be so next-gen on PC, it seems. The specifications for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare have been released and they are identical to those of Call of Duty: Ghosts.
Not similar, identical.
The processor, video card, RAM, and hard drive capacity required, right down to the recommended system settings, are spec-for-spec identical.
When Ghosts came out, there was a bit of a backlash for Activision given that it didn’t seem to really take advantage of the hardware it did use, so hopefully Advanced Warfare bucks that and actually makes really great use of the hardware its running on.
The new game does look beautiful, but we’ve seen it running on next-gen consoles, so perhaps the PC version is getting the last-gen treatment.
Either way, we’re excited for the beauty of Advanced Warfare but are a bit frightened that the beauty of the game just might not be as great on PC as it is everywhere else.
