In a post on Xbox Wire this morning, 343 Industries General Manager Bonnie Ross announced Halo 5: Guardians.
I’m happy to reveal that “Halo 5: Guardians,” the next installment in the legendary saga of the Master Chief, will launch on Xbox One in fall of 2015. In the tradition of every “Halo” game since its debut in 2001, it is a massive and exciting project.
This next entry in the franchise will be the first for Xbox One, and the studio is claiming that it will radically rethink the series and push the games forward on the new console. The game is bigger in scope and content than Halo 4, as well as technology used to tell the Chief’s story.
While the game is set to release some time alongside the Halo television series being produced by Steven Spielberg, 343 Industries confirms that 2014 will still see some Halo action, which we think will include the launch of Halo 2 Anniversary Edition sometime this holiday season.
