Our good buddy Tommy Tallarico, the creator of Video Games Live is returning to E3 2012 once again to what is sure to be a packed house. Of course, in grand E3 tradition, Tommy and the accompanying orchestra will be debuting a ton of new material that has never been heard on a live stage before. In addition to the usual Halo, Mario, and Zelda that we’ve come to love, you can expect the following segments at the Nokia Theater this year:
- The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
- World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria
- Earthworm Jim
- Journey
- Diablo III
Now, think about this: Mists of Pandaria hasn’t been released, and Blizzard has yet to even announce an official release date! Go Tommy!
We’re actually going to be meeting with Tommy on the first day of E3 (that’s a Tuesday for those not following too closely), which will likely be posted sometime in the days that follow it. We’ve interviewed him a few times before, as well as reviewed the show at E3 as well as in Toronto, so take a look here, here, and here. Oh, and here.
In addition to the orchestra, we can expect an all new guest, Lindsey Stirling, to join the crew on stage, in addition to mainstays like Martin Leung, the video game pianist, and Laura “Flute Link” Intravia.
Our big questions for our interview with Tommy, in addition to the goofy stuff we always ask, is about his feelings regarding Nintendo’s Symphony of the Goddesses, his thoughts on the Wii U and PS Vita, as well as where he sees gaming going in the near future.
We’ll be sure to keep you in the loop, so make sure you follow us on Twitter to get all the latest!
